Broadcast design specialists Veech x Veech have expanded to a new audience by recently re-branding the Moroccan channel Medi1TV as part of their strategy to broadcast in French, Arabic and English languages.

Veech x Veech was commissioned to re-design the two major studios located in Rabat & Tangier over the course of 18 months. The design team utilized their unique expertize by incorporating workspaces into the Medi1TV broadcast studio design environment to create a more fluid workflow setup.

The biggest design challenge was to develop a unified visual language for two significantly different studio layouts with similar program formats. The 500sqm Tangier studio integrates a three main news programs and a series of current affairs magazines with an adjoining newsroom for journalists and glass façade to include the landscape into the on-air media environment. In contrast, the L-shaped Rabat studio provided a challenge due to the very restrictive floor plan geometry. The briefing required the integration of two studio settings for news & current affairs programs whilst allowing for maximum flexibility for an array of camera shots.

By adopting some of the most sophisticated techniques in lighting design and engineering, these studios are equipped with advanced video and lighting systems to provide an immersive 360-degree environment.
