ServusTV New Broadcast Studio
Once again Veech X Veech has been commissioned to re-design the broadcast news presentation originally conceived and built by VXV for Red Bull Media House’s 2009 channel launch of ServusTV.
The new ServusTV studio, located adjacent to the Red Bull Media House campus in Salzburg, is a high-tech fully robotic landscape embracing technological precision and innovative camera choreography all synchronized to create a vibrant fluid media landscape with over 25 million embedded LED pixels.
The successful cooperation began in 2007 when Veech x Veech was chosen to design the interiors of the two shell buildings for the newly established Red Bull Media House multi-platform media company located in Salzburg, Austria. In 2009 The original ServusTV studio launch with subsequent upgrades in 2013 and 2015 to adapt to the evolutionary developments of the emerging broadcast channel program philosophy.
The new studio landscape is a fully responsive highly sophisticated 200-degree studio embracing elegant robotic camera movements to capture two animated high resolution LED screens that effortlessly slide along recessed tracks to provide panoramic large format video surfaces. The design includes a secondary perimeter LED wall which adds ambient color branding and spatial depth in combination with the primary curved LED surface.
The central highlight is the iconic sculptural S-shape docking station which is located on a pivoting platform disc allowing complete control in choreographing the presenter movement, space, and time sequences in a real-time animated live environment.
The 3D-formed Corian surface elegantly hovers over the floor surface and is accentuated by integrated pixel-controlled LED lighting projected upon the transparent curved base structure. Careful attention was made to floor surface treatments to add textural nuances that enhance the material palette and ambient reflections.
