Veech x Veech has developed a high-performance modular exhibition environment for Flashscore, the flagship platform of the global sports-tech leader Livesport. In an era defined by digital acceleration, the project serves as a physical manifestation of Flashscore’s data-driven ethos, translating its visual identity into a bold, minimalist architectural touchpoint that bridges the gap between digital content and physical space.

Drawing inspiration from the intersection of contemporary sportswear and the functional logic of Alexander Rodchenko’s Workers’ Club, the environment is engineered to be extremely compact, devoid of decorative elements, and as functional as possible. By prioritizing a system that allows for several configurations to serve various practical purposes, the design navigates rigorous spatial and budget constraints while maintaining an authoritative brand presence. This “toolkit” approach mirrors the rapid evolution of the Livesport brand, optimized for logistical efficiency and long-term scalability.

The bespoke furniture modules are conceived to be expanded and reconfigured to meet varying on-site demands, allowing the system to travel seamlessly across diverse international event locations. A streamlined framework and integrated digital interfaces create a direct and sophisticated brand presence. The resulting environment acts as a scalable interface built to evolve alongside the brand’s global trajectory.

Set within the forthcoming Terminal South—opening 2027—the proposal reimagines the lounge experience by consolidating four existing lounges into one singular hub. As Austrian Airlines undergoes a major brand renewal, the design aimed to serve as both a flagship and a future-forward statement.

Inspired by nature’s topographies and Austrian craftsmanship, the concept merges fluid architecture with precise detail. The spatial flow transitions seamlessly across three levels, creating zones that reflect the rhythms of travel—rest, focus, recharge. The design responds to diverse user needs: from short transfers to long layovers. Intuitive circulation, acoustic comfort, and material warmth come together to create a quiet, elevated experience. Each space—HON Circle, Business, and Senator—was envisioned to share a unified identity rooted in Austrian character, without pastiche.

Curated sensory layers—light, sound, scent, and texture—define each environment. The lounge was imagined as more than a waiting space: a place of pause, clarity, and comfort between destinations. With this vision, Veech x Veech strives to reignite the thrill of air travel, offering unforgettable customer experiences at the heart of Austrian Airlines’ Vienna hub.

The proposal reimagines the former aircraft hangar as a layered event architecture — a multi-dimensional infrastructure embedded within the raw industrial shell. Across approximately 1,600 sqm of flexible event space, the concept establishes a powerful spatial framework that accommodates large-scale gatherings while allowing for intimate and highly curated moments.

Rather than concealing the building’s history, Veech x Veech deliberately preserves its scale, structure and patina. The existing hangar aesthetic becomes the spatial counterpoint to the refined, iconic design language of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. This dialogue between industrial robustness and automotive precision defines the architectural narrative.

Within this envelope, a vertically articulated interior landscape unfolds. Inserted platforms, galleries and transparent volumes create a multi-level environment that integrates conference and hospitality spaces, educational facilities and exclusive VIP areas into one coherent system. The spatial layering allows simultaneous programming while maintaining clarity, orientation and experiential quality.

Dynamic media installations are strategically embedded throughout the architecture. Large-scale digital surfaces, immersive projection zones and responsive lighting concepts transform the hangar into a living stage. Content can be adapted in real time — highlighting keynote moments, product presentations or brand storytelling — and turning the entire 1,600 sqm into an atmospheric communication platform.

The result is more than an event venue: it is an immersive brand environment where architecture, media and movement converge — creating a memorable, emotionally charged experience that extends far beyond the event itself.

The project involved the transformation of WKÖ’s Vienna Headquarters into a next-generation corporate media space, redefining the standards for internal and external communication and live-stream media productions.

The newly designed media space represents a fusion of innovative technology, functional design, and modern aesthetics. VxV’s expertise in creating dynamic environments tailored to contemporary communication needs has resulted in a flexible platform that caters to WKÖ’s diverse requirements.

“We are thrilled to have collaborated with WKÖ on this project,” said Mascha Veech-Kosamtschof, Managing Partner at VxV. “The new media space represents a paradigm shift in corporate communication, offering WKÖ a dynamic platform to connect with stakeholders and deliver compelling content.”

The revitalized media space at WKÖ’s Vienna Headquarters exemplifies VxV’s commitment to innovation and excellence in architectural design. By reimagining traditional corporate environments, VxV has created a space that reflects WKÖ’s forward-thinking approach and enhances its capacity for effective communication in the digital age.

Primarily used as a meeting room for the Board of Directors of Austria’s largest media provider, ORF’s conference space – unchanged for several decades – has undergone thorough transformation into a 21st-century multi-faceted media center that a leading national network can proudly identify with.

Choreographed Efficiency

Augmented functionality: Besides the 260-sqm, state of the art conference room, the 600-sqm facility comprises two lounge spaces, a technical gallery, and catering area. Strict requirements posed by the specifics of its use are addressed through an intelligent spatial organisation that both facilitates the workflow and maximises its efficiency.

The new layout incorporates two separate lounges for press and for the Board members, each connected to the conference room via its own entrance. An extension to the media lounge is fit out for press conferences where journalists are briefed on the Board’s deliberations.

The project dramatically augments the functionality of the conference space. Originally, it has been exclusively hosting the Board meetings, whereas its new, expanded capacities are suited for a variety of internal meetings, conferences, and special events. As a result, the space that had been previously used for only several days a year has become the heart of the company and its pièce de resistance.

Functional aesthetic: On a relatively compact footprint, the conference room distills VxV’s 25-year experience as media architects who have collaborated with the likes of Al Jazeera, Red Bull Media House, and RGE Media Group. Its aerodynamic forms with painstakingly crafted detailing radiate a distinctly futuristic feel, and yet the entire project is a vivid proof that form has never been a priority for VxV. On the contrary, form is the outcome of their determination to merge architecture and media in an all-embracing, economically feasible, bespoke solution to the project’s diverse requirements.

Unlike the original, U-shaped design, the new elliptical table provides an optimal geometry for the Board’s 42 members to see each other at all times. The elliptical shape occupies the least possible space within the room, while comfortably sitting all of the participants, and enhances peripheral vision to facilitate communication between them. What’s more, by removing the corners, the design team secures an equal, non-hierarchic place for each participant.

The radial pattern of the custom acoustic textile ceiling visually enhances the perspective depth – the space feels more dynamic as a result. The ceiling’s sculptural, three-dimensional shape derives from three built-in video projectors and the centrally positioned, LED-based ambient light feature, while the raised and carpeted central part of the conference table additionally improves the acoustics.

With uninterrupted focus being crucial for the Board meetings, seamlessly integrated equipment serves the double purpose of removing all visual distractions and streamlining the workflow. A combination of pre-programmed, task-specific lighting setups; motorised block-out shades and strategically placed retractable projection screens, as well as the hidden presentation plinths that pull out of the tabletop at the push of a button sets the room in the required functional mode within seconds – and without the conference participants needing to turn or move to other parts of the room.

Engineered Experience

VxV define their work as creating an interface between the architectural space, the technology, the workflow and the human senses. Applied to their projects, this results in controlled environments that celebrate sensory comfort. Thus, in the ORF project, custom lighting scenarios, the positioning of light fixtures and accent lights form a powerful toolkit that helps maintain energy and concentration levels for highly demanding sessions that can last up to 8 hours. Fine-tuned balance of matte and glossy surfaces; meticulously selected materials with specific tactile and acoustic properties contribute to the positive experience of the space.

Even the fact that the ceiling height was significantly reduced due to the integrated equipment has had a positive effect. The change of proportions has shifted the focus towards the band of panoramic windows offering a 270° view of Vienna. This enhanced horizontal accentuation strengthens the sense of inclusion within a circle of collaborators, whereas the openness of the space towards the exterior reconnects them to the larger context. Rather than an isolated spaceship, the conference room feels like a cockpit of an aircraft, while the notion of augmented reality takes on a new, human-scale dimension.

No strangers to commissioning event architecture, Swarovski needed a cutting-edge design that would make waves when launching its Enlightened Swarovski Elements gemstone brand at the world’s leading watch and jewellery show Baselworld. Completed in a very tight time frame of only two months, Veech x Veech designed and produced a 480sqm pavilion that translated the office’s fascination for gemstones into a three-dimensional, magical experience.

Located within an existing structure of no architectural merit, the design team responded by concealing the outer construction and arriving at a design inspired by the faceted structure of cut jewels. Veech x Veech designed a pneumatic membrane to create a back-lit faceted interior, and teamed this with a specially created soundscape and ambient lighting that moved through a repeating cycle of colours throughout the day to create different atmospheres.

The widely respected British graphic designer Neville Brody was invited by Veech x Veech to create a series of animated graphics to highlight key elements of the new brand.

Inspired by the modernist, streamlined designs of the 1930s, the design team created a free-flowing form that transforms this modernist energy into a contemporary context, utilising the advanced digital modelling and rapid prototyping available at FSB’s state-of-the-art production facility.

The design has a dual appearance: the front side has a straight, slender aluminium form, while on the other side, a 33-degree twist accentuates the aerodynamic shape, incorporating a unique tactile experience.

Veech x Veech worked with FSB’s technical team on the challenge of producing these two shapes and achieving the various metallic finishes and colours. The handle is now part of the FSB product range.

Working with the existing footprint, the foyer was opened up by creating a dramatic 6.6m-high glass atrium, enabling greater permeability between inside and outside and therefore signalling a much more open dialogue with the company’s audience. A custom-designed Corian reception desk incorporates complex functional requirements as well as animated LED lighting that is synchronised with the lighting of the cylindrical entrance atrium.

Created for Internorm, one of Europe’s leading window manufacturers, this sculpture is located on the roundabout just outside the company’s headquarters and central production plant, one of the busiest routes in central Austria.

As part of a larger corporate identity project initiated by the marketing agency WWP Group, Veech x Veech developed a concept to showcase a brand with a high-profile art installation that would act as a symbol for the company and become its key visual for the next decade.

The team collaborated with renowned sculptor Vadim Kosmatschof (http://www.kosmatschof.com) to create an 8.5m-tall steel sculpture in the shape of a trapezoidal window that appears to balance on one point and features four pivoting glass panels that slowly move in the wind, reflecting the sky.

Veech x Veech created a three-dimensional branding solution (package) for showrooms, trade fair stands, exterior branding signage and pylons, and point-of-sale displays. The design focuses on a pared-back retail concept in which the retail space includes only a selected number of products visible in the space.

The remaining products are integrated into large-scale sliding units, allowing the sales staff to provide selective, personalised consultation by concentrating on a specific product range. By eliminating the visual noise that often accompanies retail environments, Veech x Veech created a clear, well-articulated and calm environment.

To date, well over 50 showrooms have been realised worldwide, further enhancing the brand visibility.

Veech x Veech’s winning design was for a mobile pavilion that could readily travel to multiple locations to launch BMW’s 1 series, being easy to transport and assemble. The brief was for three separate spaces to host events, catering and a garage. The design team investigated this suggestion and proposed one combined space.

The dramatic building was to be raised on a giant scissor jack that took this pavilion from flat-pack to completed structure within hours. The central element of the design was a hydraulic car lift within its core, which would allow cars to be brought down from the pavilion’s interior to the track for test driving. The aerodynamic form, which would give impressive views of the race track above which it hovered, was designed as an aluminium frame covered in a translucent, waterproof textile. Access would be provided by a ramp, leaving space underneath to accommodate a large number of visitors. The interior was to be zoned into different areas to host an exhibition as well as for entertaining.

Designed as the central element of a touring exhibition in Austria as part of the European Year of Languages, the mobile pavilion was constructed from a pneumatic membrane, providing a soft interface between the interior and exterior spaces.

The alien-like structure, which featured multiple air vents that created a striking outline, lit up artificially at night to create a dramatic effect, glowing against each location’s existing architecture. The pavilion provided a physical pop-up space for various events, including TV and radio programmes, which drew attention to Europe’s cultural richness.

The interior featured an interactive terminal that displayed multi-layered text in multiple languages on the transparent perspex layers. The design acted as an icon for integration; notably, it did not employ any branding, but instead created a brand through the architecture itself.

The team designed a unique presentation tool in the form of a truck made of fibreglass with Perspex side walls to reveal the car inside. These high-end mobile showcases were equipped with embedded LED lighting, as well as on-board cameras to track the route and relay stories gathered en route to a dedicated event website.

Held at the historic Kursalon in Vienna over a period of ten days, this public festival celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in a 1200sqm exhibition area and accompanying live event space.

The challenge was to create a coherent visual identity that reflected the umbrella organisation, OPEC, as well as the distinctive individual cultural identities of the member countries, which required complex and sensitive negotiation and management.

The design challenge was to introduce a contemporary multimedia show to the Kursalon building in a sensitive manner. Veech x Veech developed a flexible modular system that was prefabricated with printed backgrounds and teamed with custom-designed, streamlined furniture.

The logistics of the space meant that the exhibition had to be set up in only 48 hours, and the design was conceived to make this possible. Six production teams with more than 80 technicians working in shifts were directed by Veech x Veech to deliver the event space on schedule.
